Whole Bible Project

At the start of 2013, I decided to try and read through the entirety of the Christian Bible. At the very beginning of 2014, I finished it. These posts track my progress.

Irreverent Twitter Feed
I tweeted about this project throughout the second half, so I collected my tweets (usually irreverent and goofy, because, let's face it, I use Twitter for jokes) at Storify for people to browse all at once.

The New Testament (In 48 Hours)
I read the final 300 pages in two days. I talk about it, focusing mainly on the Bible's final 200 pages or so, which are composed of letters sent within the early Christian church.
Reading the Apocrypha
I really enjoyed these books, which were not part of my Bible growing up, but which are found in Catholic and Orthodox Bibles.
1 and 2 Samuel: The Hebrew Bible's Best Novel
This post is about my favorite Biblical book, 1 and 2 Samuel, which tells the story of King David and is among the most beautiful, and novelistic, extended pieces of prose in the Bible.
Some Oddball Books of the Hebrew Bible
Over on In Progress, a new blog I'm doing with some friends, I wrote a piece about some of the weirder books in the HB, and issued a challenge to my fellow Christians to address the messiness of our scripture more honestly.
I Just Finished Reading the Hebrew Bible
Summing up what I thought of the first, biggest portion of my Bible.
On the Whole Bible Project and Biblical Poetry
Coming back to the project, I explain a little more in depth my reasons for the hiatus and talk briefly about the nature and difficulties of Biblical poetry.

Announcements
